Rohde & Schwarz and Vector Informatik collaborate on hardware-in-the-loop validation of automotive radar sensors

Rohde & Schwarz and Vector Informatik are collaborating on closed-loop scenario testing of automotive radar sensors for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving (AD). Coupling the DYNA4 virtual test drive simulation platform from Vector with the latest Rohde & Schwarz radar moving object stimulation system enables powerful verification of safety-critical ADAS functions. These include emergency braking in an integrated hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) environment.

Bluetest adds option to integrate R&S CMX500 5G radio communication tester into its RTS reverberation test systems

Users of Bluetest reverberation test systems (RTS) can now enjoy the benefits of the R&S CMX500 5G NR radio communication tester from Rohde & Schwarz for 5G FR1 MIMO over-the-air (OTA) measurements. With the R&S CMX500 integrated in the Bluetest Flow control software, the solution provides a stable and reliable environment for measuring throughput as well as receiver sensitivity and output power on multicarrier devices with up to 4x4 MIMO.

Rohde & Schwarz introduces R&S VSESIM-VSS that combines EDA simulation with hardware testing

T&M expert Rohde & Schwarz and Cadence have collaborated on a solution aimed at simplifying the engineering process from RF design to implementation and enhancing accuracy by using realistic signals for both simulation and testing. The new R&S VSESIM-VSS signal creation and analysis tool speeds up the development process for RF components. It is particularly useful for customers in the wireless, automotive, and aerospace and defense industries as well as for manufacturers of active components and systems.

Rohde & Schwarz and Colby Instruments collaborate to offer accurate test solution for UWB device localization

Ultra-wideband (UWB) technology relies on the ability of devices to determine their location based on distance, moving direction and relative position to other devices. To meet the UWB ecosystem’s testing needs, Rohde & Schwarz and Colby Instruments have collaborated to offer a concerted test solution that accurately simulates the moving direction of UWB devices.

Rohde & Schwarz presents new handheld vector network analyzer up to 26.5 GHz

Rohde & Schwarz now offers the R&S ZNH, a full two-port handheld vector network analyzer up to 26.5 GHz with cable and antenna analysis and full S-parameter measurements. Both of these functions are included free of charge. The R&S ZNH is user-friendly, easy to configure and has a compact fanless housing for field applications.

EuMW virtual: Rohde & Schwarz demonstrates reliable microwave test solutions for future-looking applications

Rohde & Schwarz is participating at EuMW virtual with a lavishly designed virtual trade show booth, where visitors can learn about new developments and exchange ideas with experts. The focus is on test systems for RF frontend designs, for radar and satellite systems and for wireless technologies from 5G to the sub-terahertz range. European Microwave Week 2020 was postponed and takes place from January 10 to 15, 2021, as an online event.

Rohde & Schwarz and IHP first to characterize D-band frequencies in over-the-air test setup for 6G and automotive radar

Academia and key industry players have identified the D-Band, ranging from 110 GHz to 170 GHz, as a candidate frequency band for beyond 5G and 6G mobile communications as well as for future automotive radar applications. Rohde & Schwarz continues its pioneering sub-THz research efforts with focus in this frequency range, reaching new milestones. In collaboration with IHP, Rohde & Schwarz has performed the industry’s first full 2D/3D antenna characterization of transceiver modules operating in the D-Band.

Rohde & Schwarz installs and tests 5G campus network in its production facility to explore Industry 4.0 use cases

Rohde & Schwarz has installed a 5G campus network to leverage the possibilities and advantages of Industry 4.0 at its plant in Teisnach, Germany. The industrial-grade private 5G network infrastructure is based on Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC). Both companies will participate in the testing of the 5G campus network using Rohde & Schwarz network testing equipment to optimize its operation and performance. Gaining experience and valuable insights into private 5G network operation in its own plant, and how to optimize deployment, was a major driver behind this project for Rohde & Schwarz.

Rohde & Schwarz offers bandwidth upgrades for selected oscilloscopes at no extra charge

Bandwidth is the most important aspect of an oscilloscope. To support design engineers in current and future design challenges, Rohde & Schwarz is introducing an attractive promotion for selected oscilloscope models: when purchasing an R&S RTO2000 or R&S RTP, now customers can upgrade the bandwidth with no extra costs.
